The flexible coupling of sectors in the energy system, for example via battery electric vehicles, heating or fuel production, can contribute significantly to integration variable renewable electricity generation. For implementation system transformation, however, there are numerous options design sector coupling, each which is accompanied by different infrastructure requirements. This paper presents extension REMix modelling framework include gas and its application investigating cost-optimal Germany's system.
